Legendary M1 of Dead Prez Visits BB4

It was a reunion and a beautiful new chapter when elite rapper M1 visited BB4 Studio recently.

One-half of the iconic Brooklyn hip-hop group dead prez, M1 was at work on an upcoming project. The sessions put them back together with BB4’s studio designer Christos Tsantilis (P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Mobb Deep, Mos Def, Brandy, Big Pun, Queen Latifah, Patti LaBelle, Saigon), who mixed much of dead prez’ breakthrough album Let’s Get Free, plus the remix of the massive single “Hip Hop.”

M1’s time at BB4 marked the first meeting between him and Tsantilis in 15 years. Following an emotional reconnection, the pair got right back to business at BB4, where the acoustically excellent environment is optimal for both mixing and mastering. World-class recording capabilities are also onsite.
